Your only recourse in that case is to turn the printer off. Except that this is just a temporary relief. Soon as the printer is turned back on, it remembers all and starts again! About the preview, I distinctly remember having such on my SE30 with the HP DeskWriter but find no such thing with my more sophisticated 4/600 Laser.
