Sorry Sherman but I would say: Forget about this too, because: This will be the most expensive solution. Probably lack of space in 7500. PCI-card is cheaper, more universal and more expandable. A brandnew SCSI CD-ROM in a 7500 will be, in every respect, a better and cheaper choise than an used Ulta ATA/33 CD-ROM PLUS converter. HTH,
Yes, an IDE PCI card is a better choice than an IDE to SCSI converter. The converter is limited to the SCSI speed which is 10Mb/S while the IDE PCI card can do (in theory) 33MBps.
