since my original posting  i've removed a  section from the top drive shelf
( tween the rails as it were ) to allow the 4G below to radiate a bit
better  ~ and getting my hands on some fans to help out more is next on
agenda ,
the 4G  virtually fills the lower drive bay which probably  accounts for
the lack of heat dispersion  ~ but i was limited in choice  ~  budget  &
availablity & time ( as the original HD  started to make it's near demise
noticable )    ,
i've got an SCSI  squirrel box  with a 1G inside it ~   if availablity &
budget  ever co-incide  for a big lump  that's where it'd go ,
