You would have jumped to it, wiping quick and hard, bumping it. Is it
possible that this alone would have been a major contributor (cracked solder
connections inside...)? If it dulls again, and you get a startling email,
don't panic: a quick thump first to collect data on this matter, and then
the wipe...
