I've pretty much given up on the onboard ethernet, now my goal is to try
and use a PCI card. I have two cards currently at my disposal, a Linksys
LNE100TX v.4 and a generic RTL8193 based card, both work fine in Windows
based machines. I've googled and googled and googled and found absolutely
nothing as far as mac drivers go. System Profiler does notice that there is
an unknown card in the slot with the Linksys one but not with the RTL8139
one... but if I put them both in it lists like 10 different things.

Can anybody out there point me in the right direction?
Thanks for all the help so far :)

I just went to the realtek web site and found:

Both OS X and 8/9 drivers are available. I've used a number of these cards and they have worked fine.
