Hi all...
I have a 5400/120. When I turn it on, I hear the CRT make a noise that it didn't make before. It makes a loud Buzz for about .75 of a second. It sounds like a degauss circuit problem to me, but I thought I'd check...

So far you've nothing to worry. Monitors will make the "foont" crackle when electricity
is applied. My 17 inch Apple monitor was supposed to be on its last legs five years ago.
I'm still using it.
It still rings when first energized.
A continued buzz or crackle is a sign to cut the power NOW.
