Can anyone give some examples of PCI ethernet cards that will work on a Mac with OS 9?

Specifically, ones that are normally for PC's, but also work with Macs, with drivers available.

Any with the RealTek 8139 chip set. There is a driver at www.realtek.tw (web site from memory so it may or may not be correct).

That's the thing; I have a card with the RealTek 8139 chipset in it now, that I can't get to work with it. I tried installing the driver, and OS 9 still wouldn't see it. It has a different Vendor ID number and such than what the docs call for, but I even did what they suggested and used a hex editor on the driver to make the numbers match, to no avail. It's ID in Apple System Profiler is pcia0a0,27, I think, I'm not at the machine at the moment to confirm. I believe the docs say that the driver, by default, is for cards with an id number of pci10ec,8139. I do know that one of the fields in the profiler for the card is 10EC, but not the field they specify.

So, that's why I'm looking for an alternative, as I have access to various other NICs with different chipsets, and I'd like to get some info about which ones would work before going through all the trial and error.

On a sidenote, the same card worked with OS X with RealTek's drivers when I had X installed on the same machine, but it wasn't reliable at all, with the card crapping out in the middle of large file transfers, forcing a restart of the networking. It's a 9600, which I've since made into a dedicated OS 9 machine.
