My G3-400 equipped 8500 can browse the web and run OS 9.x apps just fine. The 7500 I use is dedicated to a Radius Videovision Telecast setup (best run on OS 7.5.x which you can't install on a G3 beige or up). Probably helps that both systems have a ATA/66 card and IDE cdroms and HD's.
