From: Andrew Grebneff >Bought a hard drive for cheap on eBay a few minutes ago, but I forgot >that I don't have an extra drive sled. Any of you guys know a good way >to make a hard drive sled for a PM 8500?
I used a HD in my 9500 with no sled... couldn't get a sled. I just fitted it in with a bit of softish foam plastic above & below... Failing that, get a piece of galvanized steel sheet, stainless, aluminum, platinum or whatever, cut to size with tinsnips or gardening shears, bend with pliers and drill holes for the HD and the front plate. Shouldn't be too difficult. Just make sure that it cannot contact the underpinnings of the HD! -- - - - - AND, most importantly don't forget to have plenty of band-aids at the ready!!
