208 MB of RAM, when in fact, I have 224 MB, seven 32 MB sticks. Then I
realized that 208 isn't a multiple of 32, it's a multiple of 16.
So this means either a bank of RAM or half a socket isn't working
right. Is there any Mac program (for OS 8.1) out there that can tell me
how much RAM is in each slot? It sure beats the old switch and check
method, especially with the 8500's case.
Apple System Profiler will report installed memory on a slot by slot basis.
