Can the imagewriter II print single sheets? Does it require some attachment to do this?
I think you can feed single sheets by hand if you switch the lever on the back right from tractor feed to friction feed.
If you want to load up to fifty sheets of paper and have it feed automatically, then you need the IWII Cut Sheet Feeder attachment. They're fairly rare. If you get one try to get the two wire sheet supports as well. There's one for the input and one for the output to keep the top of the paper from flopping over.
I lucked into a (new) cut sheet feeder when I bought eleven boxes of Apple Service Parts from the local university many years ago. Unfortunately, all that sort of university surplus computer equipment goes to the correction system in Texas now, for some bizarre reason. The university surplus auction just has overused furniture and broken lab equipment these days.
An IWII with a cut sheet feeder and the LocalTalk Option is nice little network printer. Add MacPalette II from Microspot and the four color ribbon and it's a servicable (but poor quality by today's standards) color printer.
