Hi
Some of the early USB keyboards that came with the original iMac had a power switch as per the pre USB keyboards, One of them may be compatible?
They won't work. The USB PCI card plugged into the G3 is completely powered off and has no way to start the computer.
Cheers Darren
As an after thought what is the fastest processor upgrade that will fit in a 5500 case?
I am using a G3 AIO. The power button on the keyboard is the only way I am aware of to start it. I would like to switch to using a USB keyboard and mouse and would like to be able to start the AIO without the need for a full keyboard to be attached.
Is there a factory made solution to this (an ADB start button)? Or does anyone have the pinout/specs for the ADB port and any idea of the signal the keyboard sends to the machine to start it up.
