What is unicode?

It's a computer programmer with one horn in the middle of his forehead.

Actually, from the WorldText Read Me:

Unicode is a worldwide standard for representing text with computers. It can support nearly all of the languages in use today. Support for an individual language on your computer will depend on which fonts you have installed.

Unicode also lets you use characters sometimes found on other computers, but which can't be used on Mac OS without Unicode. ...

In order to use Unicode, you must use an application which supports it. You can find the application WorldText, a text editor which supports Unicode, in the folder named "WorldText" in the CD Extras folder on your Mac OS CD.

Does OS 8/9 support unicode?

WorldText runs under OS 9. I don't know about OS 8. -- D.F. Manno [EMAIL PROTECTED]
