Not terribly important, just curious.
Actually, we're both mistaken regarding mobo versions. The 85/9500's were Nitro boards; the 86/9600 300's are Kansas systems.
I'm wondering if Nitro and TNT were Tsunami variations - anybody know...?

Macworld Mac Secrets 6th edition says that the 9600 300 MHz machines are faster not just because of the faster clock speeds but also the 1 MB L2 cache. My machine has this.
Furthermore Techtool shows it as a Mach 5 CPU.( Tsunami)
The nitro board is different from the Tsunami.
