I have wanted to move on to Netscape 7 for a long time. Many sites I need require it as minimum.
Several tries at downloading over the past year via dial up resulted in corrupt installer files. So I finally used a PC at school over a broadband connection to get a good copy.
The installation was flawless over OS 9.1 . It deleted NS 6 as it went and transferred my bookmarks in a smooth motion.
Ir started right away and has worked fine for days. no crashes or lockups. I upped the caches later just in case.
So if you are on the brink of selecting a new browser for OS 9.1 Netscape 7 is well worth a look.
I am using a 7X00 mobo, Sonnet G3 300MHz w/ 280 MB of RAM.
So far this is the best Browser I have tried. I admit I am partial to Netscape and have been for 5 years.
