You can convert EIDE/UATA to SCSI, using an ACARD SCSIDE "Bridge".

SCSI drives are stuck in neutral (in SCSI) ;-) .

An advantage of the latest version of the SCSIDE "Bridge" product is it 
can covert a 48-bit LBA drive to SCSI and, thereby, address the entire 
drive.

EIDE/UATA drives which are connected directly to the motherboard's 
controller are stuck at 127 GB, in most circumstances (in all 
circumstances if Channel 0 is used, as its DMA mode cannot support 48-bit 
LBA; Channel 1 can, in some instances, support 48-bit LBA, as this 
channel doesn't use DMA).
