Here's an odd one... Speaking of bus speeds, my old 9600/200, with the
MaxPowr G3/300 daughtercard never went past 302.1MHz with a 46.5MHz bus.
Same as what it was with my old 7500/100 machine. On my current 9600/350,
I'm also maxed out at 302.1 with the 46.5MHz bus, using the same G3 card.
With the #1 dip switch set in the up position, the machine does not boot
and will not show video, which is the opposite of the 9600/200 box. I
expect that since one machine has the Mach 5 board, and the other does not.
But, I've never been able to get exactly 300MHz with a 50MHz bus. I'm not
really complaining about it, just throwing something that I found odd while
seeing if I could get my machine to do anything but 302.1MHz. It did do
300.7 with a 43MHz bus, but, nothing other than the two aforementioned
speeds.
