It is good that you've found a RAM Disk helpful.
In an attempt to get pages(even those that previously took a
long while to load) , I most often also; force the browser to
not load any images(and only on those pages that I wish/need
to view them, do load those manually) , as well as setting the
cache memory down to zero, and do normally more than not do
find that having Java, Javascripts and CSS disabled meaning
even faster and cleaner surfin', and sometimes when a Google
search return'd page's link is reluctant to load quick, I quickly
stop it's load, backup, and then proceed with Google's cache'd
fast link. Of course, with many of the pages nowadayz being
sloppily coded and/or M$/gates/Doze specific, the mentioned
fast link is often found to be the fastest workaround path. And
having no hated popups is most certainly a blessing.
