Dear Reader, Awhile back I bought a 7300/xlr8 g3 400 running os 9.1 which came installed on the machine.
The machine came with an ati radeon 32 mb ddr pci vga dvi-i tv out Mac card installed along with various ati extensions. I do not have the original ati CD. All was well running the rig off the stock 2mb video. When I plugged monitor into the radeon, i eventually got freezes. Eventually the machine would not boot all the way, even with the radeon card removed. I ended up putting the g3 daughter card into a 7600 which had a known good install of os 9.1. (I could not get the g3 card to run in the 7300 even with a full logic board reset as per service manual.) I now would like to try the radeon in the 7600/xlr8 g3 400 known good install of os 9.1. I am leary about transferring the old ati software running under 9.1 off the 7300 drives thinking that it may have started this mess. I went to ati to try and get help in acquiring their software. Over the past couple of weeks of back and forth via email, I am no further ahead. Before I give up on the board, I was wondering does anyone know where I can get software to run an ati radeon 32 mb ddr pci vga dvi-i tv out Mac card ( ati p/n 1027770201)?
