I bought mine at a garage sale a couple of years ago. It came with
one "Imation" disk. I plugged it into my G4 and it worked great, all
the drivers were in the osx. The beauty of the Imation drive was that
it could could read both the old 1.4 floppies and the Imation disc
which had room for about 100 mb . (it was considered removable
storage) Good as it was it never caught on like the Zip drive and now I
know that the Imation discs are hard to come by. I used it to gather up
some stuff that I had left on floppies from the "old" days. I've loaned
it to a couple of friends and they did the same without any problems.
I'm no expert but it worked flawlessly for me. Maybe it is no longer
supported in newer versions of OSX.
It appears though, that I'm of little help.
