The office supply stores sell laser printer and fax cleaning sheets that do the same thing for $3-4.00, but printing 20-50 blank sheets (at 30-40ยข for the paper) will at least let you know if you are on the right track.


there's also a seal in the cart that can get stiff and, well, quit sealing, allowing your toner to leak out constantly, with results as you describe.

If 20 or 30 white pages don't fix it, time for a new toner cart. you can replace the seal but its a huge messy pain, and not really worth it even if you can find the thing for sale anywhere anymore.
