Thanks for this Arjen, it makes me feel better to know others go thru
bizarre routines to make out on their legacy macs. I confess it has been
making me a bit crabby lately! It will be satisfying to sort it out and get
back to the rock solid performance I have experienced for a long time. This
sort of thing could drive a feller to a G4 proper (and then I would be
tempted to fall in with the horrid looking and feeling and slow moving X, X
would just not chime with my Ford XY Falcon for sure...  :)
