I used a Global Village 56K modem for years on my 7600 PowerPC. No problems at all. The OS is 9.1 but I recently set the computer up to connect wireless with my Apple Base station network. In fact, the GV is still connected, but not turned on. I even added a new SCSI drive internally and an external 2-bay SCSI with no problems before switching to the wireless network. So I'm thinking it must be something else freezing the 7500.
