Mike,
I am not sure, if this works for you (in fact it worked for me):
When I upgraded my 7300/166 with a 604e/250, the external L2-cache had
to be removed from the motherboard.
I do not know if this applies to your 7600 with a G3 processor upgrade
card, but it could be worth a try.
In my 7300 the external L2-cache is positioned between the normal memory
slots and marked on the motherboard with a very small written "cache".
I heard of a extension for the Crescendo to deactivate its own L2-cache,
but I am not sure. Perhaps this is an alternative to the complete
removal of the external L2-cache.
Greetings.
Oli.

Hi My name is Mike Klein and I have a problem.
Not sure if this is the correct list but here goes.
I have a Power Mac 7600 and I have been given a Crescendo G3 300 Mhz
processor card. Now I am running Mac OS 8.6 and I simply cant getthe
blessed card to work. Does this card work with OS 8.6 ??
Any help would be appreciated a lot!
Sincerely
Mike
