I'd like to get feedback on Seagate Cheetah drives. The specific model in
this case is the ST118202.

Does the model # end with LC or LW? IIRC, the LC model is an Ultra2 LVD drive with 68 pin connector and is available in true low-profile (1") form factor. I'm currently using a LW model, which is a half-height (1.6") SCA drive with 80 pin connector, in a B&W (via 80-to-68 pin adapter connected to Ultra2 SCSI controller card). The Cheetah is a 10K drive with max data transfer rate of 80 MB/sec, so I'd use it with at least an UltraWide controller (such as ATTO ExpressPCI PSC, 40 MB/sec) for best results. And use a terminated drive cable.
