Anybody tried successfully to burn a CD/DVD using a firewire burner running OS 9? Which software did you use? I forgot what's the different between -R and +R, could somebody refresh my memory? Thanks! Pat --^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Hi Pat, I have been burning CDs reliably for 2 years with a BusLink external CD-RW burner, It came with Toast Lite. I would upgade to Titanium if I burned my own MP3 disks. This is a great burner and is a 52/24/52 speedunit. Also but a brand name disk with speed capabilities matched to your burner. An Iomega burner I had before would not record reliably for some reason on a Mac. Natively Macs use -R PCs use +R. But combo burners are readily available. DVDs are a great challenge for our old legacy PCI Macs. Others on the list claim success. I suggest checking the archive and get ready to spend a lot on upgrades if you insist on doing it. A "Sawtooth " G4 would serve better. Save a lot of headaches and a bunch of money. IMHO of course. Adrian ( Fluxstringer ) -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
