I would like to be able to use my LaserWriter 16/600 when running OS 10.2,
but so far I have not been successful. (It works perfectly under ) OS 9.2.2
with AppleTalk). I have an Epson Parallel-to-USB cable, and am going to try
that, but every time I try something "new", something weird seems to happen
to the system: my Internet connection fails in one system and not in the
other, etc., etc., so I am leery of trying very much different.

You can probably safely ignore the info from Peter since the 16/600 is postscript and I believe the LaserWriter Select is a quickdraw printer that is not supported by Apple in 10.anything

Laserwriter Select 360 is a postscript printer, w/parallel, serial (mac) and serial (PC, RS-232). Some models came with a Ethernet card, but mine didn't.

Since the 16/600 has indeed got built-in Ethernet, that ought to make life a lot easier in X (and in 9 too).
Good luck!
:o)
