Hi Mark,

I would try the following:
under Mac OS 9 and earlier there is a folder "Startup Items" (or similar ... I use a German Mac OS ...) in your system folder. Perhaps the Comcast Installer added an alias to this folder, referencing to a file on this CD (maybe a kind of "installer cleanup"). Open this folder and look for such an alias referencing to the Comcast CD and trash it. But be carefull: do not thrash something wrong!

I do not know, if Mac OS X has a similar folder and how to treat this under X. Maybe it helps.

Greetings.

Oli

All,

After my PTP is booted up, it asks for a Comcast CD to be inserted. I put it
in and shows up on my desktop. When I try to trash it, message says
installer is still running but it is not showing up. Computer is fine but I
need to get it to stop asking for the disk. I had a similar problem years
ago but can not remember the solution

Mark
