I'd like to extend my well-functioning wired Ethernet Appletalk
10/100-BTX network to include another computer. The location of that
computer makes it impractical run Ethernet cable to it, so I must use
a wireless connection. The legacy Mac computers I have, including
the one to add, are old enough so that they are not Airport
compatible. I have researched other brands of wireless network
access boxes, but have not yet found any that will accept Appletalk
protocol.
Does anyone know of a current wireless Ethernet box that will connect
to the Ethernet jack on a legacy Mac at one end, with a similar one
on the other end that will connect to an Ethernet switch, and that
will accept Appletalk network protocol? Alternatively, does anyone
know of another solution to my problem? The computers are upgraded
blue G3's and 7X00's, all running OS 9.2.2, together with old
upgraded HP LaserJet printers containing network jacks.
TIA, Art Sable
