Day 1 of the PCCSC championships started out early in the morning with the first race attempted at
10:30am. Unfortunately the wind died and was fluctuating between the normal NW wind direction and
a fighting southerly. Treasure Island Sailing Center and the San Francisco bay brought beautiful
conditions early in the afternoon. Races were resumed again around noon in 8 knots. The weather
cleared up throughout the afternoon and the rest of the racing was sailed in a steady 8-12 knots
with puffs to 15. Courses were double windward leewards, single windward leewards and modified
windward leewards. We completed the entire first round robin with the first two races of the
second finished in A division.
