PCCSC Womens Fall Champs

October 21-22, 2006

University of California Santa Cruz, Slug Sailing Team

 

Location: Santa Cruz Small Craft Harbor. 790 Mariner Park Way, Santa Cruz,
95062.

 

Boats: Each team must bring their own class legal FJ and sails. Limited
charters are available, let us know in advance if you wish to charter boats.

 

Schedule:

Saturday October 21, Sunday October 22

10:00 Report Time

10:30 Skippers Meeting

First Start ASAP

No starts after 4:00 on Sunday

 

Entries: Open to ICSA member schools through selection by each conference to
all PCCSC teams who confirm by the deadline. 

Please let us know by email, to [EMAIL PROTECTED] (and copy
[EMAIL PROTECTED])if you are coming by October 16, 2006.

 

Rules: The Regatta will be governed by the Racing Rules of Sailing, the ICSA
Procedural Rules and the Sailing Instructions.

 

Rotations: Rotations will take place off the AA dock next to Aldos
Restaurant.

 

Parking: Parking permits can be purchased from the harbor masters office on
the East side of the harbor (opposite from launching area), the harbor will
also send someone across to sell permits in the morning. Permits are 5
dollars a day. All teams can park in the lot closest to the entrance or on
the street for free.

 

Launching/Storage: Boats will be launched from the small dinghy ramp next to
the UCSC dock or the ramp next to AA dock. All boats must be stored in the
assigned parking lot. All rigging and unrigging must also be done in the
assigned parking lot area.

 

Safety: Competitors must wear U.S. Coast Guard approved PFDs at all times on
the water. Wetsuits are recommended.

 

Spectating: Racing will be held adjacent to Lighthouse jetty, which will
give spectators a view of the racing.

 

Night: After racing on Saturday, there will be a Santa Cruz special social
event.

 

Housing: Housing is available upon request. Please let us know in advance.
