3. RULES
The regatta will be governed by the ICSA Procedural Rules (Fall 2005-
Spring 2009), the 2005-2008 Racing Rules of sailing, the
prescriptions of US Sailing, the rules of the CFJ and Laser class and/
or PCCSC regarding Collegiate FJ's and Lasers (except any of these

and by the Sailing Instructions.
4. SPECIAL CONDITIONS
Special conditions and behavioral guidelines for racing in the North-
South Intersectional Regatta were adopted by the PCCSC Member schools
at the annual meeting (2004) and drafted by the PCCSC Graduate Vice
President, Graduate secretary and the regatta host (UCSB). These
conditions include the requirement of appropriate behavior of all
teams, team members, coaches, and guests at all times while at the
lake area and adherence to all recreation area (lake) rules.
Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to:
ANY vandalism or tampering with other teams' equipment or any lake
facilities; use of fireworks, flares, or other explosives; illegal
campfires; unsafe, reckless (fast), or drunk driving; excessive or
disruptive noise (including amplified music); being in the boat
storage area or on the lake after dark; theft from community
businesses. No individuals under 18 years of age (except ICSA
eligible, competing sailors) are allowed to stay in the camp area
after dark. Each participant is expected to maintain appropriate
campground, Boat Park, and lake cleanliness.
5. FORMAT AND ELIGIBILITY
All ICSA teams in good standing are eligible to sail. Teams outside
the PCCSC should have approval of the ICSA Intersectional
coordinator. One entry is allowed per school in the Varsity division
(4 divisions A, B, C, and D), unlimited entries in the JV division (2
Divisions A and B). Varsity A and B will sail FJs, C and D will sail
Lasers, and JV will sail FJs.
Schools are encouraged to field all divisions but teams may compete
in only Varsity A and B if they are unable to field the Laser divisions.
6. BOATS
Each team is responsible for bringing their own PCCSC/CFJ class legal
FJ(s) and Class Legal Laser. There will be no boat rotation.
7. REGISTRATION AND CF NUMBERS
Lake Isabella's regulations require that all boats entering the lake
must be properly registered and must display proper registration
numbers. The park officials may not let any unregistered boat or
boats that do not have proper registration numbers enter the lake.
All teams will be required to purchase a short term lake use permit
for $15 per boat. These permits must be attached to the hull for the
