Due to matters beyond our 
control the venue for the Fall Pacific Coast Collegiate Dinghy Championships 
has been changed. We regret this late notice but have done everything possible

                                                 NOTICE OF RACE

                                                1. NEW VENUE

                                This event is hosted by the UC Santa Barbara 
Sailing team and the Pacific Coast Collegiate Sailing Conference in Santa 
Barbara, CA.

                                                2. DATES

                                November 11-12, 2006

                                                3. RULES

                                The regatta will be governed by the ICSA 
Procedural Rules (Fall 2005-Spring 2009), the 2005-2008 Racing Rules of 
sailing, the prescriptions of US Sailing, the rules of the CFJ and Laser class 
and/or PCCSC regarding Collegiate FJ's and Lasers (except any of these altered 
by the Sailing Instructions, or the ICSA Procedural Rules); and by the Sailing 
Instructions and Notice of Race.

                                                4. HOUSING 

                                Three Housing options are available:

                                                A. HOTELS:

                                 Contact Mike Segerbolm: ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) to 
reserve a hotel room at a special group rate for Friday and/or Saturday.  The 
rate is $72 + tax per room per night for four adults (two beds).  This is at 
the Motel Six in North Carpenteria. Please reserve by NOON on Thursday Nov. 
9th. We ask that teams who can afford this minimal lodging cost fill these 
rooms before requesting student housing.

                                                B. STUDENT HOUSING:

                                 Contact Anna Pollock ((650) 776 4631 or [EMAIL 
PROTECTED]) for limited accommodations with the UCSB team.  

                                                C. CAMPING: 

                                Campgrounds are abundant in Santa 
BarbaraCounty.  We recommend anything available between El CapitanStateBeach 
and Ventura, CA.  Some camping may also be available in backyards of various 
UCSB sailors (see student housing).

(see Student Housing) ASAP to give her your lodging plans so that we can be 
sure to take care of everyone's housing needs.

                                                5. FORMAT AND ELIGIBILITY

                                All PCCSC & NWICSA teams in good standing are 
eligible to sail. Teams outside the PCCSC should have approval of the ICSA 
Intersectional coordinator. One entry is allowed per school in the Varsity 
division (4 divisions A, B, C, and D), unlimited entries in the JV division (2 
Divisions A and B). Varsity A and B will sail FJs, C and D will sail Lasers, 
and JV will sail FJs.  
                                Schools are encouraged to field all divisions 
but teams may compete in only Varsity A and B if they are unable to field the 
Laser divisions.

                                                6. BOATS

                                Each team is responsible for bringing their own 
PCIYRA/CFJ class legal FJ(s) and Class Legal Laser. There will be no boat 
rotation.

                                                7. REGISTRATION AND CF NUMBERS

                                All boats must be properly registered and must 
display proper registration numbers.

                                                9. SAILING AREA

                                The sailing area will be the Santa Barbara 
Channel within 1 mile of the harbor entrance.

                                                10. DOCUMENTATION

                                Complete, signed RP forms will be required for 
scoring in Varsity and JV. 

                                                11. CAMPING AND PARKING CHARGES

                                Boat launching fees, camping fees, lodging 
fees, and vehicle parking fees are the responsibility of each team/competitor.
