Gavin O’Hare on Team Racing
Tuesday December 5th at 6:00 p.m.
The San Francisco Yacht Club Sailing Center
-Format will be a tactics and strategy discussion on
3 on 3 team racing. Particulars of the contemporary
'N' course and strategies will be discussed.
We will use computer animations, magnetic boats, and new
video to entertain the group. The format is more of a seminar than a
lecture and questions and participation is strongly
encouraged.
Gavin is an SFYC junior sailing alumni, and member since 1981.
He is currently the head coach of the U.S. Naval Academy Dinghy
Team, and U.S. Sailing's Chairman to the Team Racing
Championship. He has authored a book on team racing
tactics and strategy and animated the
illustrations, which he plans to use in the seminar.
