Notice of Race


1.            RULES 

The regatta will be governed by the 2005-2008 ICSA Procedural and Class
Rules, the 2005-2008 Racing Rules of Sailing, and the prescriptions of US
SAILING; and by the Sailing Instructions and this Notice of Race.

 

2.            SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

3.            FORMAT & ELIGIBILITY

               A single round robin will be held using the Navy Special
Rotation.  The top five Regular and Provisional member schools from the
South will meet the top five Regular and Provisional member schools from the
North and the University of Hawaii. Any eligible team that does not notify
the OA that they are unable to attend by 5:00pm on April 9th will be subject
to PCCSC Penalties.

 

.            BOATS & EQUIPMENT

               CFJs and sails will be provided for all competitors, who
shall not modify any yacht (with the exception of mainsheet purchase) or
cause them to be modified in any way. The standing rigging shall not be
adjusted. The penalty for infringing the above instructions will be
disqualification from all races sailed in contravention of these rules.

 

5.            ENTRY AND FEES

               There will be an entry fee of $30 per team. Fee is due before
the Competitors Meeting. Fee includes boats, sails, racing and snacks after
racing. Eligible teams that attend the competitors meeting, pay the entry
fee and complete the RP Forms will be considered entered.

 

6.            RACING AREA

The Pacific Coast Championships will be sailed in the Long Beach Harbor near
the Belmont Pier. 

 

7.            COACHING

               Coaching will be from the Belmont Pier and/or if supplied by
the organizer a coach boat.

 

8.            QUALIFICATION

The top 4 Teams will qualify for the ICSA Coed Dinghy Championships
Semi-Finals.
