To: [email protected] Dear College Sailors- A reminder: applications for the 2009 BUSA Tour are due by the end of the calendar year. If you are interested and done with exams, get me your application. If not, use this as an opportunity for a break in your studies, and submit an application. I'm looking forward to reviewing the resumés and going ahead with planning the tour. Below is the BUSA tour announcement sent a few months back: College Sailors- I am pleased to announce that this July the ICSA will be participating in the British University Sailing Association tour of the UK and Ireland. The BUSA - ICSA tour is a bi-annual event dating from the 1960's, where the host country alternates each time the tour takes place. This year the ICSA team will consist of an all-star squad of 6 to 9 sailors that will be co-skippers for a series of five team-race and match-race regattas. The final dates of these matches along with additional scrimmages are still being arranged, but a 2-3 week tour starting in early July is anticipated. The ICSA, with the support from the US Sailing Foundation, provides funding for budgeted travel expenses for the tour. Additional personal expenses can be expected. Any ICSA sailor, male or female, who currently meets the ICSA eligibility requirements may apply by emailing a current college sailing resumé to me at: [email protected]. I am very excited to act as Tour Leader and Coach, and will be accepting resumés now through the end of the year. The team will be announced soon after that.
