PCCSC SAILORS OF THE WEEK
SPRING ‘10
Each week of the regular season, the PCCSC selects Sailors of the Week
for outstanding performances in Coed, Women's and Team Racing
Competition. The categories for the awards will be Coed sailor of the
week, which could just be skipper or crew or both skipper and crew,
Women’s sailor of the week, which could just be skipper or crew or
both skipper and crew. To be a Women’s sailor of the week you must be
on a team that is all women including both divisions, the sailor can
be sailing a coed regatta but they must have a full women’s team.
During the spring season only we may also name a Team of the week for
a team’s performance in any team race regatta.
You are part of the process! Each Monday we will accept nominations
from the sailors and coaches of the conference for Sailor of the week
awards. All nominees will be mentioned along with the Winners.
Please participate and be part of recognizing great performances by

Week #4
Coed Sailor of the Week: This week’s sailor of the week goes to the B
division team of Ben Pedrick and Abby Soong from Stanford for their
consistent win in B division. Through 6 races Ben and Abby stayed
consistent in shifty breeze to win B division at the North #1 at
Stanford. Congrats to Ben and Abby!
Nominated: Andrew Crowley, UCSC
Around the conference: This coming weekend is Team Race weekend with
both a North and a south TR Scrimmage as well as UCSB heading east for
the Mendelblatt Team Race hosted by South Florida. Also, this weekend
is the next regatta in both the north and south series. Best of luck
to all the teams!
