Dear PCCSC members and affiliates,
On behalf of the UCSC team, I would like to apologize for
our recent conduct at the McIntyre Team Race. One of our
members was drinking in the crew shower rooms, and he has
been put on suspension for the remainder of this year, as
this was a clear breach of our code of conduct as well. It
is never our aim to be disgraceful, but in this instance
we recognize that our actions have hurt this conference,
especially the women’s division. I completely understand
Stanford’s decision to cancel their upcoming women’s
events, so UCSC would like to offer to host one of the
canceled events, as I see no reason why they should be
punished for our disrespect. We understand that the
affects of our actions are far reaching, and the UCSC team
would like to apologize to all of those hurt and offended
by the events this past weekend.
