We are excited to host the McIntyre Team Race this weekend! I wanted to pass on a few notes to help make the weekend go smoothly.
First, this will be an umpired event with some great umpires that have volunteered their time to help us out, so please take time to pick their brains on rules and most importantly take time to say thank you. We will have umpire debriefs at the end of racing on Saturday and that is a great time for all the teams to ask questions and to get answers. It is important to realize that the debriefs are for educational purposes not for hashing out bad loses so we want to make sure it is as productive as possible. These umpires are a great resource so please use them! Second, our intention is to run as much racing as possible. We will work hard to do 2 round robins of the while event first before doing any other format. So please be prepared to come and race hard. Third, Fee's for this event have changed we are only charging for the dinner on saturday night. It is a great dinner to honor the life of Jeremy McIntyre! The dinner is 10.00 per person and it is payable at registration on saturday morning. You must sign up and pay saturday morning in order to attend the dinner. Lastly, Parking is always fun at our venue. Please park in only 2 areas. First in any legal spot around the boathouse and second in the informatics lot just to the left of our building, follow signs.
