I've noticed that if '/dev/sdx' is used in fstab, the internal partition
shows in pcmanfm's side panel but if 'UUID=...' is used, the partition
doesn't show up (I'll test afterwards if assigning labels to them makes any
difference).
Also the current setup is that when you mount it, it disappears from the
side panel.
As for the directory tree, you may know already that it's on git and maybe
will be launched soon in pcmanfm 0.9.9
