I see, so you have different Git then. Something is wrong it seems

Add changes in your debian/rules file, please, or it wouldn't allow
usage of multicore CPU and always compiles in one thread. What I changed:
target %:
+dh intead of dh.
new target override_dh_auto_build:
$(MAKE)
