Opening the directory or file by double-clicking on its line seems more 
intuitively clear to me rather than just doing nothing. Doing nothing
would not definitely cause any harm, but it might be not the kind
of action the user expects. At least, not the kind of action that I
would expect from double-clicking the file's or catalog's line in a
file manager.
