Recent versions do support Visual Studio 9 2008 and Visual Studio 9 2008 Win64. You can configure using cmake-gui instead of cmake-setup (Philip, cmake-gui needs to be added to Non-Unix-Use). I recall some issues were reported about building in Win64, but I think it was with the Google wrapper, not the pcre library or pcretest. Not sure, you might have to build as 32bit if in Win64.
