However, I'm not sure if the feature you ask for is really necessary. You can already call pcre2_match() with the PCRE2_ANCHORED option to force matching at the start, and then all you have to do is check that the length of the matched string is equal to the length of the subject. The only disadvantage of this is that JIT does not support PCRE2_ANCHORED at match time, so the matching is always done by the interpreter. A new option to do this check would have the same issue.
