I just tried to rebuild the ccid package version 1.4.7-1 after adding your patch from http://anonscm.debian.org/viewvc/pcsclite/?view=revision&revision=6650 and it now seems to work fine. Thanks a lot for your help! However, I don’t really understand where the problem lies. I tried my reader behing a USB2 hub (with the hub connected on a USB3 port), and it failed. I can’t figure out how the reader "knows" that it is connected on a USB3 port when it is behind a USB2 hub… Feel free to ask if you want me to perform other tests. Moreover, if I read http://lists.alioth.debian.org/pipermail/pcsclite-cvs-commit/2014-October/006576.html correctly, that patch is unneeded with the latest firmware for the reader. Should I consider upgrading my reader’s firware? Do you know where I can find the latest firmware and upgrade instructions? I had a look at Gemalto Support website with no success.
