I used too, for a long time, be a big fan of AVG and Zone Alarm. I
started to run into configurability and resource issues. Wanting to stay with a
free application(s), I went searching for a replacement. What I found was
Comodo Internet Security. I believe this package has equal or better
performance than the AVG/ZA solution. CIS is one program that includes
Firewall, Antivirus and more.
I've been using Comodo for close to a year now. I've installed and
recommended it to a number of clients and friends. As with any security
software, I've seen Comodo fail. The reason for failure was as always with most
security systems, including AVG/ZA; ignorance by the user. No matter how good
the security system, if somebody want or is ignorant enough to let in "the bad
guys", it's going to happen.

I think, therefore I'm dangerous! Wouldn't you like to be dangerous too?

I may be wrong but it looks to me like an upgrade to AVG 2011 will
require removing Zonalarm. At least it seems that way with XP 5.1 sp3 and Zone
Alarm 9.2.044.00
