John, I wish I could join you but I can't. Still the topic is certainly
appropriate for a meeting. What database are you working with? What
problems are you having? What is it you want to create?

My own use of MySql databases is with websites, using PHP to plant database
info into positions on a website, normally stories, titles, authors, etc.
but it could be used in most any manner.

What are others in the group using databases for? Anything more than
address lists?
