Outlook Express index files. The *.MBX (mailbox) file is the main data
storage area. All your messages are in there, along with other information,
encoded in binary characters. The other file is an *.IDX file, which is an
index to the *.MBX file.
Agent/Free Agent (Newsreader) Index files. The *.DAT (data) file is the
main data storage area. All your subscribed Newsgroup messages are in there,
along with other information, encoded in binary characters. The other file
is an *.IDX file, which is an index to the *.DAT file.
Are you using another database program that use *.IDX (Index) files --
EzMlm, ANSYS, WordNet, MySQL, Delphi, FoxPro, etc.?
