In the wee hour of 02:09 PM 4/16/01 -0500, Richard Gillespie, DC bequeathed
such tales as these:
>Hi all.
>I've noticed lately that all jpeg images that I open, whether in a website
>or in MS photo editor, are extremely dark and hard to see. When in photo
>editor, I can adjust this by tweaking the contrast button so that the
>picture is great. As an example, I just opened a weather radar url site and
>it is so dark I can barely make out the green rain images. Any ideas on
>what is wrong? TIA

Have you been adjusting your monitor's controls lately? Try reinstalling
your video drivers and check that they are the latest available from the
vendor. HTH
