If you are going to use the internet, you have to know the IP address of the
host machine. If the office computer is always connected to the internet and
has a static IP, once you know that IP, it's that simple. If the host
machine is behind a router or firewall or in some type of internet
connection sharing pool then you have additional problems you have to deal
with.
You also have to set up passwords of course but that's about it. pcAnywhere
is really simple to use. I use it all the time to access my home pc when I'm
out of town.
